Ingredients
- 3 packages (3 oz each) Strawberry Jello mix
- 5 cups boiling water, divided
- 3 cups cold water, divided
- 1 1/2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
- 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
- Non-stick cooking spray
- Fresh mint leaves, for garnish
Instructions
- In a large bowl, dissolve two packages of strawberry Jello mix in four cups of boiling water, then stir in two cups of cold water until smooth.
- Lightly coat a 10-inch bundt pan with non-stick spray and pour two cups of the prepared liquid into the pan.
- Refrigerate for 30 minutes, then arrange a layer of sliced strawberries over the Jello and cover with two more cups of the liquid.
- Chill for another 30 minutes, then add the remaining strawberries and the rest of the first gelatin batch; return to the fridge for 30 minutes until firm.
- Whisk the final package of Jello mix with one cup of boiling water and one cup of cold water, then stir in the sweetened condensed milk until creamy.
- Let the creamy mixture cool at room temperature for 15 minutes before pouring it over the set fruit layers in the pan.
- Refrigerate for at least three hours or overnight, then carefully unmold onto a serving plate and garnish with mint and extra berries.
Notes
To ensure the layers bond properly without mixing, wait until the previous layer is firm to the touch but still slightly tacky before adding the next liquid. If the cake resists releasing from the pan, submerge the bottom of the mold in warm water for exactly five seconds to loosen the edges without melting the detail.
