Description

These vibrant Patriotic Cheesecake Bars feature a buttery graham cracker crust topped with a silky-smooth cream cheese layer and fresh seasonal berries. Perfectly balanced between sweet and tangy, they serve as a stunning and delicious centerpiece for any celebratory gathering.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 1/4 cups granulated sugar, divided
  • 24 ounces cream cheese, softened to room temperature
  • 1/2 cup sour cream, room temperature
  • 3 large eggs, room temperature
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 1/2 cup fresh blueberries

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C) and line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang on the sides.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and 1/4 cup sugar; press firmly into the bottom of the pan and bake for 10 minutes.
  3. In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese on low speed until smooth, then slowly incorporate the remaining 1 cup of sugar and vanilla extract.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing just until combined, then gently fold in the sour cream until the batter is silky.
  5. Pour the cheesecake mixture over the pre-baked crust and bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until the edges are set and the center has a slight jiggle.
  6. Allow the bars to cool to room temperature on a wire rack, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight before decorating with sliced strawberries and blueberries.

Notes

To ensure a perfectly smooth filling, always use room temperature ingredients and avoid over-mixing the batter after adding the eggs. For professional-looking squares, use the parchment paper overhang to lift the entire block out of the pan before slicing with a warm, clean knife.
