Description
This decadent Strawberry Cheesecake Dump Cake combines luscious fruit filling with molten cream cheese pockets and a golden buttery crust. It is a quick-prep dessert designed to satisfy your sweet tooth in under an hour.
Ingredients
- 2 (21 oz) cans strawberry pie filling
- 2 (15.25 oz) boxes yellow cake mix
- 8 oz cream cheese, cubed
- 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
- Whipped cream, for serving
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 13×9-inch baking dish.
- Spread both cans of strawberry pie filling evenly across the bottom of the pan to create a thick fruit layer.
- Sprinkle one box of the yellow cake mix over the strawberries, then dot the entire surface with the cream cheese cubes.
- Cover the cream cheese layer with the second box of cake mix and pour the melted butter over the top, hitting as much of the dry mix as possible.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes until the top is set and the filling is bubbly.
- Let the cake cool for 10 minutes on a wire rack before serving with whipped cream.
Notes
To ensure a perfectly golden crust, try to distribute the melted butter as evenly as possible to avoid any dry flour patches. If you prefer a richer cheesecake flavor, you can increase the amount of cream cheese and cut them into smaller cubes for more frequent pockets of gooey filling.
